Chris Cerrella

Following the conclusion of his Div 1 (Quinnipiac University Div I) and Pro Hockey playing career in 2004-05, Cerrella moved into the ranks of coaching, taking over as the Assistant Coach for the Wentworth Institute Of Technology Leopards (ECAC Northeast, Div. III). As an integral member of the Leopards coaching staff the team achieved a record of 16-10-2, including a semi-final appearance in the DIII conference playoffs. Before joining the Jr. Wolfpack in 2008-2009 Cerrella spent three seasons as Head Coach/GM with the Walpole Express and helped start and build the Walpole Express Jr. A Tier III team in the Atlantic Jr. Hockey League. To his credit so far Chris has placed over 50 players into college at the Div I and Div III level. He was selected to coach in the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 AJHL All-Star games and through his hard work Chris was awarded “COACH OF THE YEAR” in the AJHL at the end of the 2008-2009 season. Chris is the Head Coach/General Manager of the CT Jr. Wolf Pack part of the AJHL Tier III Junior A, he is also the Head Coach of the CT Jr. B Wolfpack proud members of the MJHL. Chris also served as a USHL Central Scout for two seasons and also spent two seasons as the Eastern Scout for the Tri City Storm USHL.In 2011-12 he was Head Coach for the AJHL Young Guns Team. Collectively, he has now placed over 70 players to the college hockey level |

Paul Wiggins
Assistant Coach Junior A / Junior B

Coach Wiggin enters his third season with the Junior Wolfpack, second as a full time assistant. He began coaching four years ago as an assistant with the 1996 Bantam Minor Clippers. The following year, he assumed the role of Head Coach of the Squirt A Youth team and also started on with the Pack as a Volunteer Assistant. This past season, Coach Wiggin was the full time Assistant for both the Atlantic and the Metropolitan Junior Teams and helped lead the MJ team to the Keegan Cup Finals. While on staff, Paul has worked primarily with the defensemen of both teams Before coaching, Paul played his junior hockey right here in Cromwell with the Connecticut Clippers of the MJHL and was a member of the original Jr. Wolfpack team in 03’-04’. |

Neil Breen
Associate Midget U-16 Coach

Neil Breen comes to the Jr Wolfpack with a wealth of hockey experience playing three seasons in the USHL the top Tier I Junior Hockey league in the country. He was an All-Star forward playing for the Omaha Lancers where he lead his team to a Clark Cup and later competing for the National Championship. Neil played his college hockey for Quinnipiac University’s NCAA Division I Ice Hockey team, and as a Captain helped lead his team to a League Championship and an NCAA National Tournament bid. After graduating, Neil played a season in The CHL for the Laredo Bucks and New Mexico Scorpions. Neil also brings something different to the Pack’s table. He is a certified fitness trainer and a competitive Mixed Martial Artist. Nicknamed “The Machine,” Breen has a 1-0-0 record with his first win by way of knockout. Neil brings a unique perspective to fitness and hockey with his pro fighter mentality. His emphasis on mental and physical toughness, is an extremely useful and powerful tool in the development of our Wolfpack players. |

Jared Waimon
Goaltending Coach

Co-owner of the Connecticut Crease, has been a goalie coach for more than six years. During this time, Jared has developed an extensive clientele of goalies from all over New England. Jared has served as coach and evaluator for programs across the country, including selections for USA Hockey Team Southeast and Team Connecticut. He is the goalie coach for Trinity College at the Division Three level — 2008 NESCAC Champions and NCAA quarterfinalists. Jared’s playing experience includes Division One at Sacred Heart University and Division Three at Stonehill College. |

Craig Millard

U16 Wolfpack
Craig joins the Junior Wolfpack organization in the spring of 2012 after completing his 7th year coaching within the Whaler Organization. Whether it’s playing or coaching, Craig has been actively involved with hockey for over 30 years. At the youth level, he played hockey in both Massachusetts and in upstate NY/Canada. Later in his career he played junior and high school hockey throughout the Southern NY, CT, Ma, and NJ region. He graduated from Cortland State University where he played both hockey and football. After college, Craig played hockey in the NYC/Long Island area in the Industrial League for 2 seasons and was the assistant coach for the Huntington Winter Club Travel team alongside former NY Islander, Gerry Hart. Besides coaching hockey, Craig has been very active with sports in Connecticut, he was Assistant Coach for the 12u Connecticut Eliminators in 2009, he is a former Board Member and co-founder of the HK Youth Football League where he also served as assistant coach for 3 years. He also enjoys helping out with his daughter’s 10U Polar Bear hockey team when he can.
Coaching hockey is Craig’s passion in life – “through sports- especially hockey, children develop the necessary foundation for life – discipline and practice, self development – both physically and mentally, teamwork, setting and achieving individual and team goals, learning how to compete and of course, knowing how to win and lose with character. Coaching the Jr Wolfpack U-16 team gives me the tremendous opportunity and responsibility to develop these boys, one player at a time. My singular focus is preparing them for the next level of their hockey career- both on and off the ice.” Craig is Level IV USA Hockey coaching certified. |
